Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
 - 2 cups sugar
 - 1 cup water
 - 1 1/4 cup sour cream
 - 1/4 cup shortening
 - 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
 - 1 tsp salt
 - 1 tsp vanilla
 - 1/2 tsp baking powder
 - 4 oz melted unsweetened chocolate (cool)
 
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees
 - Grease and flour a 13x9x2" oblong pan OR 2 9" round pans
 - Measure all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix for 2 minutes at low speed, scraping the bowl consistantly
 - Continue to beat for 3 minutes on high while scraping the bowl
 - Pour into pan
 - Bake: 40-45 minutes (oblong pan) / 30-35 minutes (round pans) until the top springs back when touched lightly with a finger (Or, when the shine is gone test with a toothpick).
 - Cool
 
Goes best with Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting
