Ingredients
Brownies
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
Frosting
- 3 tbsp butter (melted)
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup milk/cream (as needed)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Grease and flour 8” square pan
- Combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla and beat until well mixed.
- Add flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Mix again.
- Spread into baking dish.
- Bake 25-30 minutes (until center is mostly done)
- Make Frosting:
- Combine butter, honey, vanilla, and cocoa. Mix well.
- Add confectioners’ sugar and beat with hand mixer if available (the longer you whip the fluffier the frosting). Add milk slowly (as needed) until frosting comes together.
- Remove from oven and frost immediately.
Notes
- Frosting is optional.
- Toss in some nuts or chocolate chips for fun!
- Its best if you double this, but make sure to add about 10-12 minutes on to the cooking time.
