Ingredients
Filling:
- 10 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup water
Topping:
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350F
- Prepare the filling
- Place the sliced apples in a large bowl
- Mix together all dry ingredients
- Pour dry filling ingredients over apples. Add the water and toss until everything is well coated
- Pour filling mixture into a large deep-sided baking dish (approx 13x9)
- Prepare the topping
- Combine all topping ingredients in a bowl
- Use a fork to combine until butter is evenly distributed
- Crumble the topping mixture over the filling as evenly as you can
- Bake at 350F for about 45 minutes until apples are tender.
Notes
- I like to add in some raspberries to the filling for extra tasty.
