Biscuits and Gravy

  • 8 Biscuits
  • 1 lb uncooked breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup white flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Crumble and cook sausage in a large skillet until browned
  2. Stir in flour until dissolved
  3. Gradually stir in milk
  4. Cook until thickened
  5. Season with salt and pepper
  6. Serve over biscuits


  • Buttermilk substitution
    • You can also substitute regular milk for buttermilk if you don't have any
    • For each cup of buttermilk, you can use 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice plus enough milk to measure 1 cup.
