Italian Dressing

From Recipe Box


  • 7 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 16 oz mason jar (or any container with a lid)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)


  1. Add all ingredients EXCEPT oil to a jar and shake vigorously to combine
  2. Add oil and shake until well combined


  • You can play with the oil/water ratio as desired
  • Shake well before each use, it will separate
    • If you add mustard this may not be as big a deal, the mustard helps emulsify and gives it a bit of a creamier texture.
